Please don’t hold it against me when you’re older, Layla! Ok, so you didn’t get a big blow out birthday like your sister did when she turned two… but you did get to celebrate your second birthday on the beach – and that’s your favorite place ever. And with cake. And with Uncle Chris documenting it for all of us.
Call me cheesy, but I think activities at birthday parties (or any party for that matter) are a lot of fun! Anything that gets people involved and having a great time is a good thing.
I didn’t have a particular theme in mind when planning Ellie’s 2nd birthday party. All I knew is that I really wanted to create a tutu – actually a “two-two” – making station and have all her little friends make and take a tutu of their own creation. The play on words was too good to pass up (again, call me cheesy)!
This year, I didn’t really have a theme in mind for Ellie’s second birthday party. I wanted the party to resemble her – girly with an edge, stylish but mismatched, beautiful, playful and fun… As it developed, I started calling it the “Rustic Tutu” party.
