I'm a very happily married, mommy of two working to find my (healthy) balance in this crazy world! An event planner for over 12 years, I secretly dream of trading the million dollar corporate events for backyard birthday parties. I’ve always been relatively healthy but since the birth of my first daughter in 2013, I have become seriously committed to learning and implementing ways to kick it up a notch. Once you know your sovereignty, the false programs no longer work on you.

I want to share the entire message from @starseeddreaming but this one sentence sums so much up for me ❤️.

That knowing, that wherever you have to go or what

That knowing, that wherever you have to go or whatever you have to do, you’ll go and you’ll do. No doubt about it. To keep your family safe, healthy and happy.

I remember the conversation that locked this in for me. About a year ago Chris and I sat down and said the words:

“Should we leave California?”

The only home we’ve had just didn’t feel as safe as before. 2019 was spent fighting for our state and our state let us down, big time. And it has continued to since then.

But we love it here (really love it) and don’t want to leave; our family and our community are here. We are committed to fighting for our state and we also believe we are here for a reason, to be a voice and to anchor the light where it is needed most.

So many of our friends have left, and even more are planning to leave. I don’t blame them.

I trust - I know - we will get the call if and when it is necessary to go. If it isn’t safe and aligned anymore, we will absolutely leave. But it won’t be out of fear, or a fight or flight response, and it will be because we did everything we could to stay.

How I’ve made it three years without these kisses, I’ll never know. 🦒❤️.
Loving that I get to share about Kenya with our little school next week, exactly 3 years after I experienced it.
We have a couple weeks of Africa studies and I have lots of plans for some video pen pal projects and fundraising and connecting our kids with kids in Kibera, the slums we visited on our last day.

Reflecting on how my parenting has changed in the

Reflecting on how my parenting has changed in the last year.

It’s a little messier (literally). But I like it better this way.

I’ve been protecting their spirits above anything else.

Noticing that I have been giving to them the same things that I have been wanting:

*More freedom. Fewer restrictions. Choice. Empowerment. Nature.*

As parents, it is necessary to put ourselves in the shoes of our kids. What are they experiencing day to day from their point of view? I’m so fortunate my kids are at an age that I can provide a buffer between the external fear and chaos and their reality.

Trust has never been more important.

Do they trust me to provide a safe space for them to be free, curious, expressive, and unconditionally loved?

Am I saying yes to the messes and the noise? The ground up chlorella tablets mixed with essential oils spread on the patio… the Tangled soundtrack blasting on repeat, guaranteeing the nonstop loop of songs replayed in my head for hours?

Yes I am. Because the messes show that they are free to create in an unrestricted, uninterupted way. The noise proves that they are lost in the moment and truly present in their current experience.

They know they are safe to live outside the lines.

I want messy and wild and free.

For them and for me :).

Don’t let anyone tell you your intuition is anyt

Don’t let anyone tell you your intuition is anything other than a super power. It is yours, don’t let it be taken from you.

I had a thought yesterday. Maybe you could call it an intuitive hit. I wondered how long it would be until I saw messages saying that people that trust their intuition are dangerous.

(Kinda like The NY Times warned us of the dangers of critical thinking).

Today, less than 24 hours after that thought, I read it in an article - explaining that people who are spiritual are more likely to be conspiracy theorists because of our “tendency to heavily follow our intuition.”

🤯🤯.

Statements like those are meant to disempower, to divide you and your intuition because you shouldn’t trust something that could make you sound “craZy.”

Don’t let yourself be separated from your super power.

I know when I seek information, I am more likely to trust sources that inform me while empowering me to think critically, maybe even challenge me but in a way that allows me space to come to my own conclusions.

Sources that guilt me, disempower me, encourage peer pressure, or tell me what I am sensing in my gut is inherently wrong... well, I question their intentions.

If you have a strong, developed intuition, you know it. And you will smell the agenda to disconnect you from it coming a mile away.

I just didn’t know it was this close.
